In honor of World Refugee Day, WMQFA is working with the Bureau of Refugee Programs of the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families to offer free admission on Friday, June 21, with extended hours until 6pm.

WMQFA Senior Curator Emily Schlemowitz will be providing free gallery talks throughout the day, and admission to the museum's 25 Million Stitches: One Stitch, One Refugee exhibition will be free for everyone!

Immerse yourself in Ike’s incredible body of work in this first North American solo exhibition of the artist. The walk-through will be in Japanese with an English translator. Common Threads: A Conversation Between a Civil Engineer, Art Curator, and Architectural Designer

Join us on Friday, September 18, from noon–1pm, at the Grohmann Museum at MSOE, for a free panel discussion between Emily Schlemowitz, Senior Curator at WMQFA; Minal Hahm, PE, CFM, Principal Engineer at M Squared Engineering LLC; and Mika Frank, Director of Business Development at Lakeside Development Company. The discussion will highlight six commonalities between the panelists’ fields of architecture, art, and engineering: collaboration, transformation, vision, strategy, communication, community, and joy.

Join WMQFA as we open the Victoria Findlay Wolfe: Playing With Purpose exhibition with a special one-hour lecture with Victoria!

Victoria will give a lecture then take us on a tour of the exhibition, with time for questions from both the in-person and virtual audiences.

This hybrid event will feature limited in-person seating for WMQFA members and a virtual option for everyone.
