You'll explore how to gather inspiration, create designs, and experiment with patterns to print your own unique table runner—no templates, just your imagination. Whether you're a total newbie or an art enthusiast, this laid-back afternoon promises laughter, creativity, and a chance to play with paint (and maybe laugh at my jokes).

Block printing is one of the oldest forms of textile printing. Block printing uses wooden
blocks that are hand carved by artisans in India, to use as stamps to create prints on
fabric.
Kit fee:
This is included in the registration costs. All materials needed for the class, including a scarf, inks, and blocks, will be provided.
Optional supplies:
An apron to protect your clothing.

Ammu is the creative force behind House of Amu, a home decor brand that beautifully blends modern design with traditional Indian craftsmanship. Inspired by her mother, who taught her the art of hand embroidery and beauty of textiles, Ammu has a lifelong passion for textiles and the stories they tell.
Having lived in Oman, India and now in Wisconsin, I’ve always been inspired by the vibrant cultures and traditions around me.

As a self-taught designer without a formal fashion background, I’ve embraced the freedom to carve my own creative path, infusing authenticity and individuality into every design.
At its core, House of Amu is about honoring the beauty of Indian artisanship while making it accessible and relevant for design-savvy homes around the world. It’s my way of celebrating heritage, creativity, and the joy of handmade art.
