Workshop Description:
Discover the art of "Random Weave and Stitch," a unique fiber art technique that blends weaving and embroidery to create dynamic, textured designs. In this workshop, participants will learn how to freely interlace threads, build layers of depth, and stitch a one-of-a-kind image like a tree.
Workshop Outline:
In this hands-on session, participants will start by creating a textured fabric base and then freely interlace threads to form an organic composition. Guided by the instructor, you'll stitch a unique design, such as a tree, adding depth and character as you go. By the end of the workshop, you'll have a completed piece and the skills to continue exploring this creative technique on your own.
On the second day of the workshop, participants will have the opportunity to engage in open-studio time, allowing them to work on their projects at a pace that suits them best. Shin-hee Chin will be present to offer guidance and support as needed, fostering a collaborative and encouraging atmosphere for all participants.
